The West Central Baptist Association
invites you to join us in asking the Lord
to financially supply through His Churches and His People
the funding needed this spring and summer to bring the proposed
WCBA Associational Disaster Relief Units into production and service.
We plan to put a 26ft Shower/Laundry Unit and a 14ft Chain Saw Unit on the field
in the spring and summer of 2007.
Our estimates now show we will need about $30,000+ for this to happen.
As of March 2007 we have received approximately $16,000 toward this goal ---- see funding chart above.
We will need at least $14,000 in additional funding in the next few months.
We have received monies so far from a few individuals and churches, and $3,000 from the SCBO.
We urge all churches and individuals in the WCBA to pray and consider what part they would like to play.
Our 2007-2008 future WCBA Budget will be adjusted for the anticipated annual maintenance expenses.
In the meantime we are asking for WCBA folks to underwrite the initial start-up of this ministry.
We need financial gifts and we need many volunteers to be trained and certified in Disaster Relief Ministry
with Southern Baptists and obtain specific certification for Shower/Laundry Unit and Chain saw Unit.
There are plenty of jobs to be done beyond just operating a chain saw. Anyone in good health
(over age 18) can serve on either unit.
This training will involve a Friday Evening 6PM-9PM and Saturday 8AM-3PM block of training. Both sessions must be attended to receive certification. Only those volunteers who are members in SBC churches will be able to serve with the Units.

The WCBA Units will be YOUR Units to be deployed in His service across the 11 counties in the
West Central Association, across Ohio, and across the United States as called upon and needed
to help in Disaster Relief through the network of Southern Baptist ministry partnerships
locally, statewide, and beyond.
It is not a question of whether these Units are needed, but only a matter of when they will be put into use.

Our desire is to see these Units ready for service by August 1, 2007.
These Units will be an extension of your church ministry into your town, the greater
WCBA region, and available by request to neighboring Associations for Disaster Relief Ministry.
Locally, the Units will also be available to your church for hometown ministry and needs in missions,
outreach, and service to your community through your church.
YOUR HELP • Please pray that God would continue to graciously supply all the financial,
resources and personel needs.
• Please encourage yourself and your church to seek what God would have
you give toward this project over and beyond your regular tithes and offerings to
your local church.
• Please plan to get Disaster Relief Training in the near future-- a requirement to
serve with the Units.
• Please contact the Disaster Relief Units Project Team with any ideas,
suggestions or questions.
• Please send all gifts (payable) to the West Central Baptist Association designated for the
"WCBA Disaster Relief Unit". The WCBA will supply charitable giving receipts to all
individuals who give directly to the WCBA.
OR • give to your local church designated for "WCBA Disaster Relief Unit". Your church can then
pass on the gift to the WCBA.
